Refund and Exchange Policy

At Tan and Trop, your satisfaction is our top priority. As a startup brand, we strive to ensure you love every piece you purchase from us. While we don’t accept returns, we are happy to offer exchanges to ensure you get exactly what you want. Please read our policy below for more details.

Exchange Policy

You can raise an exchange request by emailing us at support@tanandtrop.com within 3 days of receiving the product.

Eligibility

Your order is eligible for exchange if:

  • An incorrect order was sent to you (in this case a reverse shipment will be scheduled by us from your address to ours and the correct order will be shipped to you)
  • You need a different size.
  • It’s not a customized product.
  • If the item is unused, unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition you received it, with all original tags and packaging intact.

You have 5 days from the date of delivery to initiate an exchange. Items exchanged after this period will not be eligible.

Orders exchanged once will not be eligible for exchange a second time.

As a company policy, we do not accept cash refunds.

How to Exchange an Item
  • To exchange an item, please contact our customer service team at support@tanandtrop.com with your order number, reason for exchange, and the new size you need. Our team takes 24 – 48 hours to approve the request. 
  • You have 5 days from the date of delivery to initiate an exchange. Items exchanged after this period will not be eligible.
  • Please pack your item securely inside the package. Ensure the items are unused, unworn, unwashed, and in the same condition you received them, with all original tags and packaging intact.
  • Exchanges are subject to product availability. If the item that you wish to exchange is out of stock, we will refund the full amount.
  • The product to be exchanged must be dispatched back to us within 3 days of acceptance of the exchange. You will need to send the item back to us, once the exchange is accepted. The cost of the courier sent to us will be borne by you. The cost of shipping the exchanged garment to you will be borne by us. 
  • Pieces to be exchanged or returned will only be accepted AFTER discussing the same by mail. Any outfits sent to our store without prior discussion by mail will not be accepted, and the piece will have to be picked up by the customer.
Damaged or Defective Items
  • We carefully inspect all items before shipment, but if you receive a damaged or defective item, please contact us immediately at support@tanandtrop.com with your order number, email/phone number, and photos of the damage or defect.
  • We will work with you to resolve the issue promptly, by either replacing the item or issuing a full refund.
Cancellations
  • In the case of a cancellation, please mail us within 12 hours of placing the order.
  • Cancellations after this period would be contingent on the status of the order.
  • In case of cancellations, a store coupon for the full order value will be mailed to you, with a validity period of six months.
  • Customized orders cannot be canceled.
  • Cancellations will be done on a best-effort basis, depending on whether the order is already shipped.
